Some schools can experience a sudden change in circumstances in which senior leaders burn out or are unable to continue. As an experienced school leader I offer a range of consultancy and interim solutions which can provide a panacea during these times. You may simply require some respite for yourself or for one of your leaders to maintain standards or you may wish to build capacity within your team. Supporting, Coaching and mentoring leaders to close gaps and readily assist on driving standards forward is a key priority and I have a great deal of experience within this area.

An Interim Leadership Solution can provide some rest and recovery time, if this is what is needed, for the head teacher or other senior leaders. If you wish to support your leaders, or are in need of support yourself, it is really important to ask for help.  This could limit any potential negative impact of a long term absence and be seen as a preventative measure to which a long term absence could  I have extensive experience as a senior leader and a headteacher and can provide support to the CEO/HT/DHT/SLT.

Associate Consultant for TeachWell Alliance

I am an Associate Consultant for Teachwell Alliance and work with schools to introduce the staff well-being and mental health programme - the Teach Well Toolkit – I help schools to implement a culture of staff well-being and mental health.. The programme involves all staff within the school, teachers, support staff, admin staff, technical staff, and site staff. The first step is to find out what your team think about staff well-being and mental health.

From that point I can work with your school leaders or well-being lead to identify the areas which have been identified as requiring more support. This can easily be used within the school’s development plan and milestones reviewed in line with all of the schools priorities.
